Forgive me for naming this entry after a Dr. Dre song, but I feel it fitting for what is about happen to me in the next couple of months.
It's been one hell of a ride in public school. I've met so many people, taken part in so many things, as well been to so many places. But high school, specifically my senior year, must be my absolute favorite, as I truly had fun in this time than my middle school and elementary school years combined. I'd like to walk through it as I have this great time to reminisce...
The things that made me happy this year is the people I love and adore. After years of finding a niche in school, specifically where to hang out between classes, I found it with the people that are my real true friends . This goes out to the "Smarties" which include Luis Gonzalez, Jonathan Cruz-Garcia, Daniel "X" Hernandez, Alfred Isias, Heidi Joya, Elias Solana, Brenda Fuentes, and Sifredo Quijada Jr. Then there are the good ol' Decathletes, who I feel they're like my second family, of sorts. There are too many to name, as I've met so many beautiful people in this fine competition in the last two years. But I'll especially remember Ms. Jennifer Lew, who got me to do so many things in one year than I thought would by myself, as well as did me the honor of taking her to prom. So many friendly faces that I wish I can stay with, but now comes the time where we will go our seperate ways and become what we were destined to be. I love all you guys and you will not be forgotten. I just that I'm not.*
As some people got to Northridge, Berkeley, Riverside, and LA, I will go to UC Irvine (home of the Anteaters). I hope my college experience will be a pleasant one. However, it is still one summer away. Before I dive right into my new home, I must find a job to support my menial spending, as well as, finally, get my driver's license (maybe also get that iPod Shuffle fixed). Well, that is it for now. I'm a high school graduate lookin' at the the past present, and the no-so-distant future. I hope we are all ready... for the next episode.
*Forgive me if I did not mention you, but it'd be a bitch to write all your names.

One Hell of a Week
This is Fernando aka Taco Otoko-san with one hell of a week to talk about.
It actually started last Saturday, as me and Carlos tagged alongside the Magnet for their annual trip to Mammoth (and other neat locations). The first day was spent in Red Rock Canyon and Fossil Falls, where we learned much about the geology of the areas, as well as some astronomy in the clear sky. We even camped out there for the night. And it's very easy for me to say that it wasn't a very good sleep, as it was cold, rocky, and windy (which makes it dusty). The next all the groups went on a treasure hunt using GPS (Global Positioning System) to find said treasure. Unfortunately, our treasure was not found without some assistance, as it was located in a very dangerous area that we though the teachers would never place. We also got to our hotel that day, rooming alongside my friends Nestor, Andrew, and Ryan (YES, RYAN). On Monday, I went on a sweet hike up Parker Lake, along with Jennifer, Nancy Luong, Minh, and some of my other favorite people. But the best part of the trip was the snowball fights on the last day, as well as the devilish Jennifer Lew's plot of pranks upon one Jackson Tran (he slammed the door in her face...OMG). He was pummeled by snowballs, had salt put in his water, and forced to relive William's prank of rocks in his bag!!! That was such an awesome trip!
The fun didn't end there, as Thursday night was the UPP banquet. Alfred and Daniel were awarded some much deserved medals and trophies. We also took a butt-load of pics, just to show our awesomeness. Even Magnet's Jonathan Cruz was there to show his love. After all the performances and awards, there was dancing!!! And I danced 'till I needed to get back home to do some work. What a nice outing with my raza!
Friday was cherry on the sundae. It was the day of the Calculus/Statistics Venice Beach Trip. At first it started lame, as Elias and some of the girls were shopping for stupid sunglasses. That is why Heidi, Daniel, and I made our way to the beach to chillax. After a nice lunch, we all played a little football. What sucked though was damn Ryan me pinning me into snow (it REALLY sucked). Mr. Luu managed to get away from a sandy or watery prank, which I totally wanted to see. Then there was the Luau at 7, which was more of fiesta, with carne asada and Jarritos. Not as fun as Prom, but it was a nice evening to hang out with my friends. I got a free T-shirt!!!
Well, that was my week; it seemed longer than most weeks. I guess sometimes time doesn't fly when you're having fun. And with graduation comin' up, I'm milking whatever fun I can out of senior year. That is all for now. This Fernando signin' off. Peace.... bitches!!!
