Several things have come up to my attention. Very distressing things. Things that 13 year-old Fernando didn't have to deal with. Unfortunately, 18 year-old 'Nando does. And it starts with Wrestlemania 23.
Wrestlemania is the WWE's biggest show of the year. It holds a feeling of giddiness and enthusiasm to many wrestling fans. I got it last year and it was pretty sweet. Unfortunately, not this year. This year, the card isn't as great as last year. There are two championship main events where there hasn't been much build up, a "hair vs hair" that has caused Vince McMahon to show up on each WWE show and rant for 10+ minutes, and an 8-man ladder match which is crowded with too many good wrestlers (which hurts the already poor undercard). I feel like not getting it this year, as it seems of a waste of $50 that could be used for the following things that I've realized I WOULD and COULD need the money in the upcoming month or so...
1.) The AP Tests (each costs $13, totaling to $52 for the four tests I want to take)
2.) The ELM or EPT for CSU's (each is $18)
3.) [?] UC Entry Exams (not sure how much it costs, if at all, but I want to take it into consideration, just in case)
4.) The Motherfuckin' Prom (don't get me started...)
There are probably some other shit I can't remember at the moment. The point is that I need money, so I can't be spending my parents' money for a show that won't be worth $50. It could be used for something better. It is heat where it hit me: THAT...I...AM...NOW...IN...REALITY, where money is short and opportunity costs reign. I'm truly growing up, and it sucks ass!
My solutions...not get Wrestlemania, allow my dad to abduct me to his damn "jale", save some money, and find a job in the following weeks. Not out of high school and I am already worrying about money. Must come from looking for and working on scholarships. FUCK!!! Anyway, I needed to get that off my chest, so that is all for now.

I am...The God of War!!!
I'm completely bored, thus writing about some new stuff, namely one of the coolest games I've played since The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess. This game is the sequel to the awesome PS2 game, God of War II. I'm telling ya, this game is fuckin' great. It brings back some of the good stuff from its predecessor, as well as some new stuff (riding Pegasus, new monsters, and some familiar Greek heroes for the player to kill). Sweeet!!! I got it on Saturday as me and my sister where stranded at Pet Smart/Pollo Loco plaza thingy in Alhambra with a stubborn Camry. I finished in five days, showing that I... HAD... ABSOLUTELY... NOTHING...BETTER... TO DO. Nevertheless, if you're a fan of Greek mythology, blood and gore, and awesome action, make sure you pick this one up, as well as God of War, the first one. The sttoryline will flow better.
Moving on, one thing I didn't get to mention last week concerns the Capital Markets Contest that I'm participating alongside Jennifer Lew, Peter Li, and Andy Luu. It appears that there will be this lady by the name of...??? (I'll remember it later) who will be following and documenting us on our experiences with the contest. That's pretty cool. Tomorrow my team will be meeting with her after school. Should be interesting.
Another positive turn of events is that Mr. Luu, Carlos' current math teacher, is doing my Calculus AB class a favor and helping us catch up in the course. My class has lost lots of time with absence of Mr. Martinez, so it's cool that Luu is helping us stand a chance in passing the AP test.
Concerning prom, I lack too much sleep to be stressing about it at this time. As soon as I get my mind and spirit back on track, I will once again approach those that many know about by now. If many think I'm bullshitting, how about this reason: I'M FUCKIN LAZY!!! Whoo!!! And what?!!!

Responses
Monday, March 12, I pulled off the first bandage!!! Around the end of 6th period I asked my friend, fellow decathlete, Jennifer Lew. She's a nice person; lots a fun. So I would like to go with her. I asked...in a simple manner...and she said that she'll get back to me. Not the answer I wanted. And by Friday...still no answer. I don't know whether to wait a while, or press on to my next choice. The lamest thing is that she kept reminding me about the new econ competition, instead of giving me a "yes" or a "no". It kinda pissed me off, but I eventually came to the conclusion that I should take this prom dilemna slow and easy. But still, it kinda ruined my week.
What did left my spirits, though, was the new South Park and Naruto: Shippuuden. Cartman did something incredibly gay and Butters was sent to a camp that "prays the gay away." This one was a classic!!! 4.5 out of 5 stars. Then there was Naruto, where Gaara fought against Akatsuki's Deidara in a sweet battle. Next week there will be a one-hour special!!! Can't wait.
Another cool thing was that UC Santa Barbara has accepted me!!! That makes two UC's that want me. It would be cool if LA and Berkeley accepy me too. Things are lookin' up for me. I still need to finish up some of my scholarships. Rest assured, I will get them done. Need that money! Whoo!
Then there is the new Econ competition that I am participating in, alongside Jennifer Lew, Peter Li, and Andy "Thomas" Luu. It consists of an essay, a stock market game, and a power-point presentation. DAMN!!! What have I gotten myself into now? Anyways, the winning team gets $500 per member and an all-expense paid trip to New York. Pretty sweet. Wish me luck, as Macroeconomics isn't my fortee. However, my public speaking skills aren't too shabby. I did win a medal, you know.

It Was a Good Week
My blog spot; for those that lack a myspace
First on my agenda, I got into UC Irvine!!! That's big news forme. I got an email from UCI last Friday, saying there was a change in my application status. I assumed that it was just the changes I made to my FAFSA earlier in the week. However, when people started saying that they got in, I checked it out. And what do you know? So did I! I'm very happy. I hope that get into UCLA though. But I could see myself going to UCI, supposedly a school full of Asian students. I'm cool with that, as I have somewhat of a liking to the Asian ladies. Probably because not many in my raza are in the AP classes alongside me. I love smarts! And I know a few girls at my school that are very beautiful in my eyes. Of who I speak of, I'll leave it to you.
Next thing: the new South Park season. One word: Awesome. They kicked off their 11th season with Randy Marsh saying the "n" word on TV and Cartman fighting a little person to the song "Down with the Sickness". It was a very good episode. Out of 5 stars, 3.5. I'll be expecting more gold in the upcoming weeks.
Lastly, there was the Increase the Peace Volleyball Tournament this weekend. I played for the Asian Club team, with pandas on our uniforms. It was FIERCE!!! We won our first game with the needed 15 points. Unfortunately, we lost our second game in overtime, 13-11. We still made the playoffs, only to play against the same team. Sucks. We lost 9-14 with time running out. It's okay. We all played great and had a lot of fun. I got a goody bag, a bright shirt, and a chance to hang out with some of my favorite people. It's like that Ice Cube song, "It Was a Good Day".
I enjoyed myself this week and hope I continue to do so as I near the end of my senior year. My god, I'm so old!!!
